Österreichischen Romantikstraße

With a length of 380 kilometers, the Österreichischen Romantikstraße

connects the most beautiful landscapes of Austria as a pearl necklace between Salzburg and Vienna. Along the route you will see beautiful panoramas of lakes and mountains and you can visit countless sights.

Großglockner High Alpine Road

The Großglockner is the highest mountain in Austria  (3,798 meters). The Großglockner lies in the High Tauern Mountains. On this mountain also lies the Pasterze Glacier.

The Großglockner is accessible via the Großglockner High Alpine Road, a 48 km long toll road that runs from Zell am See via Bruck in the direction of Heiligenblut. The Großglockner Pass is a 2505 meter high mountain pass on the border between the Austrian states of Salzburg and Carinthia.

Steirische Eisenstrasse

The Steirische Eisenstrasse is located in the triangle of Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Styria. Historical center is the Steiermark Erzberg.

 

In addition to historic mining, the more than 100 stations on the Steirische Eisenstrasse show the development of metalworking craftsmanship (from forging to mechanical engineering to measuring instruments and musical instruments). Steirische Eisenstrasse also offers scenic views and beautiful walks in gorges and on mountains.
